The international society for optics and photonics (SPIE) will host its first-ever Photonics Industry Summit in Washington, DC on September 21st. This event is geared toward companies that manufacture optics and photonics as well as related industries. During the one-day event, there will be a panel discussion with industry leaders about the current challenges facing the optics and photonics field, and how the US government can help resolve these issues.
