Optimax’s Role in Capturing Pluto: A Closer Look at the New Horizons Mission

At Optimax, we are thrilled to share our connection to NASA’s historic New Horizons mission, which captured groundbreaking images of Pluto. Our lenses are aboard the Long Range Reconnaissance Imager (LORRI), the mission’s powerful telescopic camera, designed to gather detailed geological data and high-resolution images of Pluto’s far side from vast distances.

The journey of these optics exemplifies our commitment to pushing the boundaries of exploration. Learn more about our role in space exploration and the New Horizons mission on our Pluto page, or read the full story about Rochester’s connection to Pluto here.
